First Aid at Work

This comprehensive three-day course covers a wide range of First Aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with an emergency situation with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. This course will give participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

All successful students will be issued with a new First Aid at Work Certificate, lasting for a period of 3 years along with a wallet-sized plastic card detailing their qualifications.

Emergency First Aid at Work

This course can be adapted to suit a particular audience and is ideal for lower risk businesses in accordance with Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations. It is a one-day course and includes both theory and practical sessions in a relaxed atmosphere, designed to boast a candidate's confidence.

The course includes: First Aid priorities, managing incidents, basic life support, examination of a casualty, unconsciousness, control of bleeding, burns and scalds, regulations, First Aid kits, recording and reporting.

Certification is dependent on successful continuous assessment and there is no final exam. Certification is valid for three years.


Cardiac Arrest is the biggest killer in the UK. Over 150,000 die as a result. The majority could have been saved if a defibrillator was made available. Automatic External Defibrillators (AED’s) are now becoming more common throughout a range of workplaces.

This very practical course will allow suitably qualified First Aid personnel and Lifeguards to use the AED competently and with confidence. Not only does this course deal with the use of an AED but also revisits some basic First Aid skills, including resuscitation.

Pool Lifeguard

The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is widely accepted by swimming pools both in the UK and Ireland with over 37,000 qualifications awarded per annum. The National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) also has full accreditation from the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. The course consists of both theory and practical skills and is a minimum of 38 hours of training.


This course has been developed for those who are working with children and babies. It will be of particular interest to teachers, child minders, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone responsible for youth organisations. It is ideal for those who are responsible for the health and welfare of children and babies, and who wish to gain knowledge of emergency procedures and attain a recognised qualification in First Aid (Appointed Person).
