Our mission here at Kingham Hill School is to provide an - 'excellent all round education within a Christian context' and 'to produce young people of vision, faith and character who are well-qualified and equipped to flourish in their adult lives'.

We are extremely pleased that our latest inspection reports from both the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI)and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) 2015 are testament that we are delivering on our mission. The ISI particularly noted when commenting on the curriculum & extra-curricular provision here "It is consistent with the school's aims to provide a rounded education so that pupils are well equipped to flourish in their adult lives and it makes an effective contribution to pupils' achievement."

Back in February 2010, the school was inspected by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges inspection team. Following a glowing report, Kingham Hill became the first British boarding school to receive accreditation for our American Studies Programme. In April 2010, CReSTeD inspected and another very pleasing report was forthcoming, confirming the school’s registration as having a high quality and officially approved Dyslexic Unit.

Headmaster, Nick Seward, is thrilled with these reports.  Of the most recent, he comments:

“This is a fantastic result! I am so proud of our fabulous pupils, my excellent and hard-working staff, and our supportive and enthusiastic parents. Kingham Hill is a special place, in a special setting, with a special future, and I’m so glad that the inspection team has recognised all of that.”

The report contains many highlights. The following probably sum up why Kingham Hill is increasingly successful and attractive to parents looking for a rounded education for their children:

  • "The strength of the school community is remarkable. Students receive a high quality education in a supportive, warm & beautiful environment." NEASC, 2015
  • "The spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of the pupils is excellent."  ISI, 2015
  • "Kingham Hill School is a school truly committed to each of the students it serves. The postive, safe, supportive and respectful culture provides a personalized and supportive learning & living environment." NEASC, 2015.
  • "Pupils' personal development is excellent; pupils demonstrate qualities of exceptionally good manners, courtesy, tolerance and respect in all their relationships." ISI, 2015
  • "Relationships between pupils and staff and between pupils themselves are excellent." ISI, 2015
  • "The established school culture is very positive and respectful and easily recognized as soon as one is on campus." NEASC, 2015

Kingham Hill School is committed to continual improvement and development of both the academic performance of the school but also to the opportunities and facilities it offers to its pupils. Plans are well underway for an ambitious round of new building, refurbishment and upgrading. The £4.5M Veritas Building, our new Mathematics & Science facility was opened in early 2015, and our new library was officially opened by Baroness Cox on our 2016 Speech Day.
