We are very proud of our food and our catering team.

In recent years we have made some significant changes to how we source our food. This has made a difference to the general quality of the food served, reduced the school’s procurement ‘carbon footprint’ and increased the level of seasonality in the daily menu.
The school has established meaningful links with the local farming community, fresh food wholesalers and other food distributors within a 50-mile radius. As much produce is sourced locally as is practical without compromising our rigorous quality standards.
Under the supervision of the school gardening team pupils are involved in growing fruit and vegetables and this complements the menu as well as communicating important messages to our pupils about sustainability.
