Academic

Kingham’s 15 Year strategic plan, Realising Our Vision, details the school’s desire to ‘offer a broad curriculum in the liberal tradition, valuing reason and critical thought alongside creativity and independent expression’. This breadth is evident in the formative years before GCSE, where pupils gain experience of more than a dozen subjects. Thereafter the focus narrows, as pupils select four subjects to take alongside the core of English, Maths and Science in Years 10 and 11.

In Sixth Form, the school endeavours to maintain its commitment to a broad curriculum by offering vocational qualifications alongside traditional academic A levels.
