Scholarships & Bursaries
The school offers Academic, Art, Peforming Arts and Sport scholarships, on an annual basis for pupils joining the school in Years 7, 9 and in the Lower Sixth (Year 12). In addition, the school offers Organ and Founder’s Scholarships and Founder’s Awards for those joining the school in the Lower Sixth. Founder’s awards are open to exceptional academic day pupils who would otherwise be unable to attend the school; these awards are means tested.
The award of a scholarship will always be made on merit and will not normally be means tested. With exception of the Sixth Form academic scholarships, most awards will not exceed 25% of fees. There are several awards of up to 75% available for exceptional academic day scholars and organ scholars joining in Year 12. The Founder’s Scholarship of up to 50% is open to current pupils entering Year 12 following recommendation from the Headmaster. The Founder’s Awards are a limited number of fully funded, means tested awards for day pupils joining the Lower Sixth.
All junior scholarship candidates are expected to participate in the Michaelmas term Scholarship Day, after taking the usual admissions assessment papers.
Applicants for Sixth Form scholarships will need to attend the Scholarship Day, early in the Lent term, or attend at another opportunity beforehand for assessment and interview. In case of overseas applicants, assessments and interviews will be conducted online.

The Kingham Hill Trust offers a limited number of bursaries each year to pupils who would benefit from a Kingham Hill education but who are unable to afford the full fees. The number of children that we are able to help is limited to funds provided by the Kingham Hill Trust.
Bursaries are only available for pupils normally resident in the UK, for a maximum of 50% of fees and are means tested. In cases of particular need, the school can suggest a number of grant making trusts that may offer additional bursaries.
