Our Combined Cadet Force is thriving. It aims to nurture the leadership skills of the many students who get involved.

It is funded by the Army and Royal Air Force. Many of the activities are Forces orientated. However, fun and enjoyment are high on the agenda.

We have a proven track record of ex-cadets joining the armed services. Recently, two officer cadets were accepted by Sandhurst - both girls!

In Year 9 all pupils join the Scouts or the CCF. This is an important weekly commitment. After a year as a recruit they have the option of joining one of two sections: Infantry or Royal Air Force. During this second year as a cadet, the more natural leaders take on their first leadership role as junior Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) after completion of the Methods of Instruction Course.

Third year cadets are all encouraged to take a Methods of Instruction Course. As newly trained instructors they are qualified to pass on their skills to junior cadets.
