Extra Curricular Activities

We recognise that there is more to life than academic study.
One of the major attractions of Kingham Hill is the open access to a whole range of activities on campus, which enhances the all-round development of all our students.

We have a varied programme of dynamic indoor and outdoor activities for all age groups.

The Combined Cadet Force helps to encourage self-confidence, initiative and leadership qualities. Annual camps and weekend activities provide opportunities for experiences such as parachuting, caving and orienteering.

An alternative to the Cadet Force is the popular Scout troop that is one of the oldest in the country. Many of our students take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Scheme and several gold awards are attained each year.

Because our school is small, and flexible enough to respond to the interests of individuals or small groups, Kingham Hill has more than twenty clubs and societies. These include photography, go-karting, engineering, cookery, Warhammer, film, Animal Club, Performing Arts Academy, Landrover Club, History and Film Club, Senior Debate including current affairs, Junior Debate, CCF, Duke of Edinburgh, Male and Female Fitness, Swimming, Community Service, ESOL, Puzzle Club, Ceramics, Art, Science, American Studies, basketball, MFL, First Aid and Adventure Service Challenge.

We offer very generous Forces Bursaries. For further details contact our Registrar, Kate Harvey.
