FOR ACADEMIC YEAR 2011/12 Due to the ongoing support of the Kingham Hill Trust, our fees remain very competitive for the size of school and the individual attention given to each child. Fee Structure
* Weekly boarding is from Sunday night to Friday morning only. ** ESOL provision included. *** Flexi-boarding is only open to day pupils who were on the school roll during the Trinity Term 2009 and guarantees a bed for a maximum of three nights per week in their previously affiliated boarding house. Pupils who average over three nights per week averaged over a month will be subsequently charged at the full boarding rate. Flexi-boarding pupils who wish to stay on a Friday night must have previously booked for attending Saturday activities for which there is an additional charge. Fees, discounts, charges and conditions of payment will be reviewed annually in March by the Board of Governors to coincide with the start of the school year. The above fees include Pupil’s Personal Accident Insurance and the school’s calendar. Payment InformationFees are due contractually by the first day of each term.Direct debit is the preferred payment method for a growing number of our parents and guardians. If you wish to pay by direct debit, and do not currently do so, please contact the Bursary. Some parents choose to pay annually in advance in exchange for a discount of 2%. Those interested must notify the Bursary of their intent by 15 July. To benefit from the annual payment discount, settlement must be received and cleared before the commencement of the school year . Please note that parents or guardians who wish to pay by credit card will be charged 2.5% of the transaction value (this is the charge made by the school’s bankers). There is no charge for payment by a UK debit card. The Headmaster has the right to exclude a pupil from school for the non-payment of fees. ExtrasSaturday activities are for all pupils boarding on a Friday night and for day pupils wishing to participate and who have previously booked. There is a fee of £35 per Saturday (this is included within the Full Boarding Fee) which will be added to pupil bills. This fee will include any transport costs, packed lunches and admission charges but not pocket money. Spaces for those not on full boarding will be subject to availability. Pupils staying over an Exeat weekend will be charged an additional £250 to cover the supervision and activities provided. Extras such as private music lessons, theatre trips, outings, etc. are invoiced in arrears. These can be typically £200 to £300 per term. In addition, the initial cost of a uniform for a 12 year old is approximately £400. Uniform items can be purchased from the school’s clothing store. Extras will be invoiced termly in arrears. The school can, through houseparents, make cash advances to pupils. There is currently a charge of 10% for this service. Day pupils who stay at school ‘overnight’ will be charged at the rate of £38 per night and all nights are subject to availability. Day pupils wishing to stay on a Friday night must have previously booked to participate in Saturday activities, for which there is an additional charge. Parents or guardians sending pupils to the school from overseas with non-EU passports must ensure that the correct child student visa has been obtained before they come to the school. The school is registered with the Home Office (UK Border Agency – Licence Number WX29R1X0X) and as such will issue a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) once all conditions required by the school have been met. Any additional charges incurred by the parents or guardians in obtaining a child Student visa are not the responsibility of the school. Deposits and Other FeesThere is a registration fee of £75 (non-returnable) and a deposit of £500 which is non-returnable should an enrolled pupil not join the school. (Pupils whose normal residence is outside the UK are required to pay a full term’s fees as a deposit. The equivalent of the UK deposit will be retained by the school should an enrolled pupil not join the school). Deposits are retained by the school and repaid less the clearance of all outstanding items after the pupil’s final departure. |
