Our Health Centre has recently been moved into new purpose-built facilities. It is open during the school day. Emergency cover is readily available around the clock and we enjoy a formal relationship with White House GP Surgery in Chipping Norton. We have a great team of two experienced nursing sisters: Elaine Barton originally trained in Northampton and qualified in 1988. She is married and has 12-year old twins. Elaine has experience in accident and emergency care, practice nursing and in the private sector in endoscopy nursing and most recently carrying out immunisations in local schools. She also has experience in fostering children with both emotional and physical problems. She has attended numerous courses, including diabetes, spirometry and asthma. Caroline Howes has worked in several school environments and has also worked abroad. In her general nursing work she gained considerable experience nursing children, as well as providing support to patients with glandular fever, anorexia and asthma. Caroline also works for a charitable trust nursing and supporting terminally ill patients and their families. She has attended courses, including counselling, self-harm, anger management and asthma, and is actively involved in anti-smoking and healthy eating initiatives. We are delighted that the running of the Health Centre is in such experienced and capable hands. Elaine and Caroline are always ready to handle enquiries and concerns.
