Kingham - the perfect village! (Daily Telegraph)

The Daily Telegraph used Kingham as the perfect example of where a recent survey discovered one third of all house buyers in all price brackets would live if they could.

Apparently a large minority of all those moving home would love to move into an idilic village such as Kingham.  The village of Kingham - a 15-minute walk from Kingham Hill School - is indeed very appealing.  It has a large village green, Post Office and stores, three hotel pubs, primary school, picturesque church and many beautiful homes traditionally built of honey-coloured Cotswold stone.  However, it is far from being a tourist hot spot such as nearby Stow-on-the-Wold.  It is a peaceful, comfortable place to live.  The village enjoys a vibrant, active community with the PCC, Rotary Club and other groups making a real contribution.  The village railway station enables many to commute to Oxford or London and the highly popular Daylesford Organics is just a mile away.

Many visitors to Kingham Hill School are bowled-over not just by the beauty of the school grounds and its setting on a hill over-looking rolling Cotswold countryside, but by the 'perfect' village on its doorstep.
