Speak to one of our Year 12 or 13 pupils and they are likely to tell you that being in the Sixth Form is as good as school gets. The increasing independence, the greater academic challenge and the sheer enjoyment of all that life at Kingham Hill offers, make for a very fulfilling and memorable two years. Younger students look to sixth formers for an example and for leadership and it is a time of preparation for the adult world of higher education and employment. These are crucial years and our Head of Sixth Form and our team of sixth form tutors do all they can to enable students to reach their full potential and enter adulthood full of confidence, with the skills and qualifications to succeed in their future endeavours.

There are especially dedicated facilities for our sixth formers, including a study area, a social centre with its own bar, internet café, Sky Digital, DVD, pool table and lounge, and a higher education and careers centre. Pupils are given expert guidance as they complete their UCAS applications. It is satisfying to note that in almost all cases students secure places at their first choice university or successfully find the employment of their preference.

Most boarding pupils in the Upper Sixth earn the privilege of living in more independent accommodation in preparation for life beyond their school career.

Sixth formers are able to gain a wide variety of extra qualifications. These are very rewarding activities that can enhance a CV.
