During the summer holidays our pupils have the opportunity to attend a residential summer venture camp. For the last few years between 20-30 pupils have grabbed the chance, with several members of staff joining the fun. These holidays are organised nationally, and hosted at various public schools around the country. The pattern of life is similar to boarding school. However, there are no lessons! Instead, pupils choose from a wide array of sports, activities, games (on site and off site), art, craft and trips to local attractions (Chessington World of Adventure, Longleat Safari Park, etc.).
These holidays are designed to offer maximum fun, new friends and an opportunity to discover the Christian faith in all its fullness, and this is aided by daily Christian meetings. As one pupil recently commented: "It's not indoctrination, it's an honest look at the claims of the Christian faith. You make your own decisions!" Some of our pupils have their own faith, whilst many are wondering what it's all about! Summer ventures are a great place to be encouraged in your faith and/or have your questions answered.
