Tours and Trips

There are a variety of sporting trips and tours available to pupils at Kingham Hill School, these are designed to give pupils a chance to build upon their skills, provide them with an opportunity to compete in a new environment as well as widen their personal experiences.

In February 2016, the junior netball and football teams travelled to Gibraltar for their sports tour.They demonstrated their impressive skills garnered over the Lent term in their matches against local teams MCS and Manchester 62 during the four day tour. In addition to the sports fixtures, pupils learnt about the local area, its history and tried out their Spanish language skills.

Just before Christmas each year, the school has its annual ski trip to Obertauern in Austria. Pupils spend the week learning and refining their skills alongside pupils from Magdalen College School.

This autumn will see the senior rugby tour heading off to Barcelona to enjoy warmer training conditions and preparing for several competitive matches. The team should be match ready as they will have completed their week of pre-season training with receive intensive coaching from the School’s rugby tutors as well from members of the Oxford University team.
