The best advertisements for a school are its pupils, and if you ask current parents why they chose Kingham Hill for their son or daughter, they invariably speak of the impression that friendly, happy, and well-balanced characters made on them when visiting us.
I'm delighted by your interest in our school, and I hope this website provides a helpful introduction. The best way to understand us is however, to visit Kingham Hill on a working day and to see for yourself. Please don't hesitate to contact us to arrange an appointment.
As Headmaster, I am personally committed to the Christian ethos of Kingham Hill, and I feel very privileged to lead a school with such a rich past and an exciting future. We pride ourselves on our commitment to the individual. Every pupil is valued and encouraged to develop their own character and talents to the full. Confidence and maturity are nurtured by experienced academic and pastoral staff, in an atmosphere of opportunity and enquiry, with excellent structures of care in a stunning country setting.
Helping every pupil fulfil their academic potential has been a hallmark of our school for many years, and progress and success are fundamental to what we do. Education is, however, about so much more than qualifications, important though they are. The wide range of experiences and extra-curricular provision on offer, in sport, music, drama and elsewhere, combined with our fine facilities, make for cheerful and self disciplined pupils who have an appetite for discovery, and an ambition to make their mark.
We welcome talented pupils from a wide range of backgrounds and circumstances, and aim to produce young people of vision, faith and character, who are well-qualified and equipped to flourish in their adult lives.
The School’s new 15 Year Strategic Plan, Realising Our Vision builds on the 2020 Vision, where a number of the key objectives have now been achieved, and sets out a roadmap for the future of the School.
In this rolling 15 year strategy, the Governors and Senior Management Team have articulated ten themes that define Kingham Hill and which will help to shape the future of the school. These strategic themes encompass all that is most important to the continued development of the school: from the Christian ethos to academic rigour and extra-curricular breadth, ensuring we support pupils to reach their potential whilst making the most of our location and remaining a family school of around 400 children.
