Kingham’s 15 Year strategic plan, Realising Our Vision, details the school’s desire to ‘offer a broad curriculum in the liberal tradition, valuing reason and critical thought alongside creativity and independent expression’. This breadth is evident in the formative years before GCSE, where pupils gain experience of more than a dozen subjects.
Thereafter, in 4th and 5th Forms, the focus narrows, as pupils select four subjects to take alongside the core subjects of English, Maths and Science.
In Sixth Form, the school endeavours to maintain its commitment to a broad curriculum by offering vocational qualifications alongside traditional academic A levels.
Maximum of four:
- Art and Design
- Classical Civilisation
- Design and Technology
- English Literature
- Extended Project Qualification (EPQ)
- History of Art
- Further Mathematics
- Physical Education
