Scholarships and Bursaries
Excellence in its many forms is at the heart of Kingham Hill School’s success; the kernel of this excellence is our programme of Scholarships. The School recognises and rewards those who display talent and consistently strive for the highest standards through their endeavours and demonstrate servant-heartedness to the rest of the school community.
Each year the School offers Scholarships to pupils joining Kingham Hill in the 1st, 3rd and Lower Sixth Forms.
New for September 2026 - 11+ All-Rounder Scholarship
We are delighted to be launching a new Award for pupils joining Kingham Hill in Year 7 this September. Established to mark the 140th anniversary of the founding of Kingham Hill School, the 11+ All-Rounder Scholarship celebrates pupils who embody the spirit, values and breadth of Kingham Hill.
This enhanced Award is designed for true all-rounders - young people who demonstrate enthusiasm, commitment and potential across a range of school life. Whether through academics, sport, creative and performing arts, service, leadership or community engagement, recipients of the Award will show a willingness to participate fully and contribute positively to the life of the school.

Bursaries
The Dean Close Foundation offers a limited number of bursaries each year to pupils who would benefit from a Kingham Hill education but who are unable to afford the full fees. The number of children that we are able to help is limited to funds provided by the Foundation.
Bursaries are only available for pupils normally resident in the UK, for a maximum of 40% of fees and are means tested. In cases of particular need, the school can suggest a number of grant making trusts that may offer additional bursaries.
Bursary applications are made through our secure online portal. You will be required to create an account, through which you can submit and upload all the information required. For more information on bursary funding, please contact Mathew Madeley, Parent Finance Manager at mmadeley@deanclose.org.uk.
Please note that in order to apply for a Bursary, your child must be formally registered for a place at the school, or a current pupil.
