Visits and Tours
Once each term, Kingham Hill School opens its doors and all are welcome to attend our Open Days. It is a great opportunity to come and talk to the teachers, tour the campus and hear more about our academic and co-curricular programmes. Pupil ambassadors will take you on a tour of the site and they can share their perspective on being part of the school community.
Open Days are held in October, February and June each year - reserve a place at our next event.
A private visit is a great way to find out more about the School, and many people like to arrange a visit before they submit an application. The visit usually begins with a meeting with the Headmaster followed by a tour of the School. The tours are personalised to the family, and offer a unique glimpse into life here on ‘the Hill’. Visits run throughout the year, to book an appointment, please contact our Registrar, Mrs Helen Cope - 01608 658999.
Taster Days and Stays
For those pupils who have registered and made an application and wish to spend a day at the School before they start, we can arrange a taster visit. This can include an overnight stay in one of the houses for those candidates considering boarding. Applicants will be given a ‘buddy’ - a current pupil of the same age who they will accompany to lessons and activities and who will be able to share their experiences about being a pupil here at Kingham Hill. This is a can be helpful step for those children for whom living away from home will be a new experience, as they can meet their future housemates, get to know the Houseparents and learn a little more about the activities, customs (and fun) that are part of boarding life.
Taster days need to be booked in advance and can be arranged with the Registrar during the application process.
