A Christmas Message from CEBY

Charles Baring Young founded Kingham Hill fin 1886 or boys who needed a home, and subsequently an education and skills that would serve them in life.  

Many of those boys went on to serve their country in the Great War.   How poignant it must have been for Mr Young to hear of their news and to stay connected with them somehow, after Kingham Hill.    In 1916 he wrote the first Kingham Hill magazine in December.   He reminded them that 'we think of you, we pray for you...and our hearts go out to you with earnest prayer'.   

His message still resonates with us, 106 years on,  when we think of our dear alumni.
