A Life in the Battlefields
On October 12th, our resident military historian, Mr Gareth Williams (Head of Languages and Octagon) took us on a journey into the past as he told of his "other life" as a battlefield guide in Northern France and Belgium. Peppered with artefacts which he uses in teaching the Third Form, Mr Williams shared the reasons why he has a passion for the Great War and expanded on some of the exciting research he and pupils have been doing into the fallen of Kingham Hill.
This was the first in our series of evening Lecture Series. To view a recording of the one hour talk on youtube, please click here.
