On Thursday 21st November, James Harvey Woolliams, former Plymouth Housemaster and Science Teacher, passed away peacefully with his son by his bedside. Kingham Hill marked its respects for their former teacher and friend with the school's flags flown at half mast.
Mr Wooliams was known for his involvement with the RAF section of the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) and for the memorable moment when he flew his glider across the 1st XI cricket pitch—an event captured on video. His contributions to the school and his lasting impact on pupils are fondly remembered.
A Service of Celebration is to be held at Wye Parish Church on Saturday 10th of May, from 2pm, at Wye Parish Church in Kent, with tea and cake to follow.
Jim's son, Richard has said "Dad dearly loved Photography. So please feel free to bring your favourite photos. We will have a display board we would love to add them to."
