Founder's Day wasn't anything like we had planned for this year.
We had hoped for a joint Hillian and School community gathering, and then we had concerns for our alumni and needed to cancel that element of the day. A few days later, the situation in England progressed to the point that taking the entire School on a walk to the Founder's grave also needed to be called off.
Despite the challenges, this morning our Heads of School paid tribute to CEB Young to commemorate Founder's Day. With a small service led by Reverend Savage, the pupils shared stories of how the Founder and Kingham Hill has touched each of their lives in a very personal way. Hillian (and staff member) Tim Foster was able to represent our alumni in this very special occasion. With only 1 more day left at School, we were grateful for this time.
