Back in 1981, Mr Woolliams and his wife had a teaching exchange with a the Bentley's from a school in Australia. The Bentley's returned to the Hill, 40 years later, and met with friends from their time at Kingham for a mini reunion.
Jane and Ian Bentley arrived at Kingham in December 1981 with two small children - in the middle of a blizzard - from Melbourne. They lived at Stratford House (in teachers village) along with the bachelor teaching staff and very quickly became a huge part of life on the Hill. They have kept it touch over the years and wanted to visit Kingham in the sunshine.
Roy Mylan (Science and Bradford Tutor), Andrew Sinclair (English and Durham Tutor), Adrian Lloyd (P.E and Greenwich Houseparent) & Godfrey Nicholson (Maths) were all in attendance, as were Liz and Robert Herringshaw (Bradford) and David and Gerti Shepherd. Guy Roberts (son of Norwich Houseparents and Hillian from 1981-88) and Tim Foster (Bradford (1979-85) also joined their former teachers and enjoyed the day.
