Kingham Hill School Development Board

We are in the process of appointing a Development Board to support and strengthen the school’s philanthropic ambitions. This new advisory group will play a key role in shaping and guiding our fundraising strategy and helping us build long-term relationships with those who want to support Kingham Hill’s vision for the future.

Working closely with the school’s Alumni Engagement and Development Lead, and in partnership with the Hillian Committee, the Development Board will help advance our fundraising efforts while also contributing to wider community engagement.

About the Development Board

  • The Board will consist of up to ten members, appointed for a term of three years, renewable once.

  • Members will be selected for their ability to contribute meaningfully to the school’s development goals, their commitment to Kingham Hill, their networks, and experience in fundraising or related fields.

  • A Chair will be elected from within the Board, and the Alumni Engagement and Development Lead will sit ex officio.

  • Meetings will take place at least three times a year, primarily online, with the option for occasional in-person gatherings.

  • The Board will function in an advisory capacity and will not hold any formal governance or fiduciary responsibility.

What the Board will do

Members of the Development Board will:

  • Advise on fundraising strategy and philanthropic development.

  • Help identify and engage potential donors and supporters.

  • Act as ambassadors for the school’s development efforts.

  • Support campaigns, events, and initiatives through their time, networks, and influence.

  • Work collaboratively with the Hillian Committee on shared goals.

  • Uphold the highest standards of integrity, discretion, and support for the school’s mission.
