Summer at last

After more torrential rain earlyier in the week, the site has now dried out and the road is ready for tarmacking on Monday. The base for the cedar cladding continues to go up and this week the cladding arrived on site.

Inside the main hall, the floor screed is now complete and works have continued through the lower floor to form the flooring baselayer.

The first image below shows the view into the new PE classroom, whilst the second and third, show the upper floor when viewed either way from the top of the rear stairs.

The internal window space in the social area is coming together, alongside the kitchen area and storage space. It will make a lovely area for chilling out, watching sport and enjoying a drink.

One benefit of the rain, is that the planting has really bedded in and grown rapidly. The recent sunshine has spurred things on even further and they look like nice healthy specimens. . The wood cladding is now stacked up and ready to go (it looks very like that used on the Veritas).

As I head off on CCF Camp tomorrow, I look forward to seeing many faces familiar at Speech Day next Saturday and people being able to view for themselves, the progress made.
