The first cedar panels are added

With the roof complete and the majority of the guttering and edge trims installed, work has now turned to the cedar cladding. It has been great to see the warmth and colour that this brings to the building.

We are looking forward to seeing the front of the building clad, and finally getting to see the facade as it wad designed.

Inside the main hall, the internal finishing continues and it is exciting to think that we are now only weeks away from the floor and climbing wall being installed.

In the changing rooms, the cisterns and pipe work are being fitted and the shower areas plastered and then clad.

The event space is plastered and the kitchen area getting ready for the kitchen units to be delivered. The view from this area in to main hall will be fantastic.  Likewise the Reception counter is coming together, in anticipation of welcoming lots of pupils and users into the building.

The view of the walkway from above shows the size of it, which is sufficient to allow viewing of the astroturf, whilst also letting people move back and forth from the pitches.

The scaffolding surrounding the building (previously allowing access to the roof) has been dismantled, allowing the building to be viewed from the rear. The tress visible to the rear of the building should grow fairly quickly, replacing those that had to new removed to allow the area to be excavated.

A tidy up of the areas surrounding the build and the adjacent roads starts over the next two weeks, with the new term now not far away.
