The rain continues, but now nearly watertight

The roof sheets are now on and the glulam cladding for the front pillars has been fitted.  Protection has been installed around them, but it is good to see the first parts of the wood and glass aspects of the frontage fitted.

Inside the hall, the thermoset wall panels are complete and the electrical connections for items such the scoreboard have been made.

The hall roof is now watertight and the external door to the main storage area have been installed. Plastering of the changing rooms continues, as does the mechanical and electrical installation. The biomass system s fully connected to the building and ready to start drawing heat and water when the building is opened. The walkway is ready for the handrail to be fitted and from above it is possible to see how it will double as a useful viewing/seating area for watching sport on the astroturf.

It had been a while since I was last up on top of the main roof and I have to say the view is great (as long as you don't look down!).  The final seams and guttering are now being added and hopefully then the main scaffolding to the rear can come down soon.

With 12 weeks remaining, lots still needs to be done, but it is easy to forget how things looked 11 months ago.

A lot of earth had to be shifted!
