School Farm

One of the luxuries of being in the countryside is the outside space – and there is plenty of it at Kingham Hill! The school has a beautiful 100 acre estate with woodlands, fields and sports facilities, as well as the ever popular school farm.

The school is home to a menagerie of alpacas, horses, sheep, goats, rabbits, cats and a dog. Not to mention snakes, a bearded dragon and a bull frog – and that’s just in the Science labs!

The farm in based in the heart of the school grounds and is a popular place before and after school as well as at lunchtimes. Pupils get involved in all aspects of animal care – bottle feeding the lambs is particularly popular.

Farm club is available as a co-curricular option for pupils to choose and this gives them further opportunities to be taught more about animal husbandry. In Sixth Form, pupils can choose to study Animal Management at BTec level.
