Last week, our 1st Form spent two nights away on a residential trip to South Wales. We stayed at the Summit Centre, near Merthyr Tydfil, a fantastic facility full of activities and wonderful staff who made us all feel very welcome.
The main aim of our time away was to help the 1st Form bond as a year group and also think about leadership, teamwork and set some personal goals for their time at Kingham.
It was an action packed couple of days and what better way to start than getting wet in the river?! The pupils were thrown into their first activity on the Wednesday afternoon - helping each other make their way up stream, with some of them being blindfolded.
On Thursday, pupils were pushed out of their comfort zones with more activities - navigating their way through narrow caves and then conquering the climbing walls in the impressive on-site climbing centre.
Overall, we hope the 1st Form had a great time getting to know each other and thinking about what they hope to achieve as a year group at Kingham Hill.
