Pupils have taken to the stage this term in a series of successful Performer’s Platforms, showcasing their musical talent and growing confidence in front of live audiences.
The first platform, held on Friday 6th February, was especially notable as it marked the first occasion to feature performers from every year group across the school. The evening provided pupils with a valuable opportunity to step beyond the practice room and experience the challenge and reward of performing to an audience.
Head of Music, Mrs Fantham, praised the pupils’ efforts, commenting: “It is one thing to play with your teacher, but to come on stage and deliver a performance to an audience — that is a big step. I am really impressed and proud of our pupils’ progress.”
Building on this success, a second Performer’s Platform took place on Friday 6th March, once again giving pupils the chance to share their music in a supportive and encouraging environment. The event was well attended, with a packed Performing Arts Centre of pupils turning out to support their peers.
These platforms continue to play an important role in the musical life of the school, helping pupils to develop confidence, performance skills, and a sense of community through shared creative experiences.
