On Friday 22nd May, the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) Passing Out Parade marked a proud milestone for our 3rd Form Cadets as they successfully completed the first stage of their training with the school’s Army and RAF sections.
The parade celebrated the cadets’ achievements and personal development following their recent Recruits Camp, with families, staff and fellow pupils gathering to witness the occasion and the contingent’s smart turnout.
The school was honoured to welcome Foundation Trustee and Army Nurse Debra Ritsperis as Inspecting Officer. During the ceremony, she presented awards to cadets who had demonstrated exceptional commitment and performance throughout their training.
A number of honours were presented during the inspection, including six RAF Part 1 badges, 34 Army Basic Stars and RRF Hackles awarded to cadets in recognition of completing their initial training requirements.
Special recruit awards highlighted individual excellence across a range of military and leadership skills. Recruit Peppiat received the award for Best .22 25m Shot in the Army section, while Fowler claimed the RAF equivalent and was also named Best Recruit. Ford and Roberto shared the award for Best 5.56 100m Shot. Zhong was recognised as Best Driller, Meikle received the Best Infanteer award, and Rigby was named Best Aviator.
The parade also saw several cadets promoted in recognition of their dedication and positive contribution throughout the year. Cadets Eyles, Carlisle and Roberts were promoted to Lance Corporal, Cadet Jones to Junior Corporal, and Cadet Eaton to Sergeant.
Speaking after the event, staff praised the cadets for their enthusiasm, discipline and teamwork, noting that the parade was a fitting celebration of the hard work shown by both the cadets and the staff who support the CCF programme.
The school congratulates all cadets on their achievements and looks forward to seeing them continue to grow as confident and capable leaders through their ongoing involvement in the CCF.
