Carol Service 2020

Top school came alive with light and song this weekend as pupils from across all the boarding houses gathered together for some socially-distant and seasonal carols in our annual Kingham Carol Service.

Bright and festive lighting adorned the top school buildings and tree, casting a soft glow into the darkness and illuminating the host of warmly-wrapped boarders ready to sing carols, clutching their programmes in one hand and candles in the other.

Encouraged by a small choir of senior students, the Hill resounded with the hearty voices of pupils and staff alike, before our school chaplain, Rev Savage, delivered a thought-provoking reflection on the true light that shines in the darkness, the Lord Jesus.

As the service drew to a close, boarders returned to their houses to be greeted by the welcome sight of hot chocolate and gingerbread, kindly prepared by the Catering team, for a cosy evening together in-house.
