CCF Annual Dinner

On the night of Friday 23rd November the Kingham Hill Combined Cadet Force Formal Dinner took place in the Top School Hall. The event allowed our pupils to experience a formal military dinner, enjoying excellent food and good company. The Cadets were privileged to have Colonel Earnshaw join them as their senior guest and speaker for the evening. With good reason, it is one of Mr Seward's favourite evenings of the year. The evening culminated in the award of promotions to CCF cadets and pupils. We are very proud of them all and especially Jamie who was appointed the new Head of Corps. and is pictured at the top of this item alongside Colonel Earnshaw.

The evening provides the cadets with the opportunity to look back over the last 12 months and reflect on the progress of the contingent. It's clear, from the shear number of pupils committing to the corps in the senior section of the school, that our CCF is in very good shape.

As well as being good fun, these events are an excellent forum for our pupils to develop their social skills and, as you may have read, this seems to be a dying attribute amongst graduate entry employees!

Well done to Major Winkley and all those who played a part in pulling the evening together.
