On Wednesday 3rd December, the school community came together to enjoy a festive evening of music at the annual Winter Concert. The event showcased a wide range of performances from soloists, ensembles and larger groups, filling the evening with Christmas cheer.
Reflecting on the evening, Head Mr Last commented: “Our Winter Music Concert provided an inspiring demonstration of confidence and dedication. To perform musically in front of an audience, whether as a soloist, ensemble member, or part of a larger group, requires discipline, focus, and emotional expression. The pupils who took part exhibited not only musical talent but also teamwork, commitment, and the capacity to channel nerves into something beautiful and uplifting.”
Under the guidance of Director of Music, Mrs Fantham, the Kingham Hill Choir has also been sharing festive music beyond the Performing Arts Centre. In recent weeks, the choir represented the school at the Daylesford Organic Christmas Fair and at Kingham Hill’s own Christmas Fair, as well as performing at the School’s two carol services on the final day of term, alongside Kingham Brass.
