GCSE pupils at Kingham Hill are continuing to benefit from opportunities that support their learning beyond the classroom this term.
Recently, GCSE Music pupils visited London’s West End to see Wicked, one of the set works studied as part of their course. Seeing the production live allowed pupils to hear a professional orchestra and vocal performances, whilst observing how music is used to support character development and dramatic storytelling. The experience helped to reinforce key areas of study covered in lessons.
GCSE Physical Education pupils have also been developing their practical skills through external sessions linked to their coursework. With climbing a regular activity at Kingham Hill, the 5th Form PE cohort visited 270 Climbing Park to further develop their technique in preparation for their GCSE practical assessments. The visit gave pupils the opportunity to work on a larger climbing facility and apply their skills in a different setting.
