GCSE results 2020

In a year of unprecedented uncertainty, a pandemic, and government U-turns, I’m proud to say that this year’s 5th form at KHS have kept their heads down, overcome all the obstacles placed in front of them, and focused on their futures. A national algorithm was adopted and then discarded, but our girls and boys have nonetheless been rewarded with a superb set of GCSE results, with over half the grades at A* and A (9-7 in the new format). Not only that, but they’ve laid a firm foundation for their Sixth Form studies with the excellent ‘7th term’ run by our Head of Sixth and subject teachers in May and June.

With the great majority of the year now secure in moving on the unique experience of a KHS senior education, we’re confident that they will replicate today’s success when they get the opportunity to prove their exam mettle in 2 years’ time. As Headmaster it is a privilege to be able to say: “Well done!”
