Tuesday night marked a momentous moment in KHS Sport when the first ever girls contact rugby match was played against Stow-on-the-Wold RFC.
Senior Girls have been training hard since the beginning of the academic year under the tutelage of Head Coach, Mr Ansley, and this week they were able to take to the field and demonstrate their skills.
In front of a large crowd of supporters cheering on from the sideline the girls did not disappoint. The determination and enthusiasm shown from both sides was outstanding. Olivia H opened the scoring for the KHS Team and Captain, Tabitha, led from the front with an impressive display of tackling.
With neither team backing down the contest was always in the balance but KHS managed to eventually leap ahead with the final score being 4 tries to 1. It was a great result for the team and we're looking forward to watching them compete in more fixtures in the future.
