The annual House Singing Competition took place in early October – a chance for the members of each House to perform a song that they had spent the last few weeks rehearsing. This year’s theme was the 90s and there was a wide variety of hits on show, complete with some well-choreographed routines. From the Spice Girls, to Chesney Hawkes, Backstreet Boys, Oasis, Ricky Martin and Lou Bega. It was a brilliant night of entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
Once the Eurovision style scoring was complete, this year’s winners were announced. Many congratulations to Norwich House who hugely impressed with their energetic performance of ‘Rhythm is a Dancer’ by Snap! In second place was Severn House for their rendition of ‘Livin’ la vida loca’ by Ricky Martin. Durham House placed third with their take on ‘Mambo No. 5’ by Lou Bega.
Well done to everyone for all their efforts!
