On Saturday 7th December we welcomed Rendcomb College to the Hill for a morning of rugby. There were five matches in all from the U12s up to the seniors, with parents, house parents and staff providing excellent support and encouragement to the boys.
Our mixed senior team enjoyed a competitive match against the Rendcomb 1st XV with many players getting a chance to play in a strongly fought, tight game of rugby.
As a result of injuries, the U15 team was somewhat depleted and lost to a much stronger team in what was a tough game of rugby. Our U14s fared much better with a resounding win and the U12s showed just how much they've improved with a spirited performance.
Our U13s were close to winning their match but the game was abandoned following an injury - thankfully the player concerned walked from the pitch and was, in the end, fine.
We must say a big thank you to Rendcomb College for not only being excellent opposition but also for being great sports off the pitch as well. Thank you again to all the parents who came to support the teams and of course the staff!
