Refurbished Sixth Form Centre Opens at Kingham Hill

Over the summer months, our dedicated Estates Team worked tirelessly to create a brand new Sixth Form Centre at Kingham Hill. Now open and already proving hugely popular, this exciting development provides a welcoming and inspiring hub at the heart of the school, designed specifically to support pupils during the final two years of their school journey.

The new centre offers a thoughtful balance of social and academic spaces. The ground floor provides a relaxed communal area where pupils can unwind and connect with friends, featuring comfortable seating, tables and a pool table. Alongside this, designated study areas allow for focused independent work throughout the day.

Above, the mezzanine level includes group study pods ideal for collaboration and discussion, while the upper floor offers individual study booths and access to Sixth Form academic books. From the large windows, pupils can enjoy stunning views across the Cotswold Hills.

This purpose-built environment reflects our commitment to helping Sixth Form pupils develop independence, responsibility and strong study habits, while also enjoying the privileges that come with being senior members of the school community.

We are also delighted to celebrate the exceptional achievements of our pupils in this summer’s A Level, BTEC and CTEC examinations. An impressive 53% of all grades awarded were at A* or A, placing Kingham Hill firmly among the top-performing schools in the region.

Such success is the result of pupils’ hard work and ambition, the dedication and expertise of our teaching staff, and the continued support of families who share our belief in a rounded, aspirational education. Together with the opening of the new Sixth Form Centre, these results mark an exciting and encouraging start to the academic year.
