Senior Rugby Squad Tour Lisbon

Kingham Hill’s senior rugby squad has enjoyed an unforgettable half-term as they travelled to Lisbon for a week of sport, adventure, and cultural discovery.

The tour kicked off with beach training sessions and a memorable surf lesson on the stunning Costa da Caparica, where the boys embraced the waves and worked as a team in a new environment. Away from the pitch, they explored some of Portugal’s most iconic locations, including the vibrant streets of Lisbon, the fairytale palaces of Sintra, and the coastal charm of Cascais.

On the rugby field, the squad faced strong opposition from Setúbal, Agronomia, and Técnico, which demanded tactical focus and resilience.

A standout moment for many was the visit to the legendary Estádio da Luz, home of SL Benfica. Standing inside one of Europe’s great sporting arenas proved truly inspiring for the squad as athletes and fans alike.

The boys have returned with new skills, stronger bonds, and memories that will last long after the final whistle.
