One of Kingham Hill's longest running traditions, Sports Day is a celebration of team and school spirit. Whether striving for a win or supporting from the side-lines, every pupil and parent contributed to the vibrant atmosphere on Friday 20th June, making Sports Day 2025 a memorable event.
From the morning’s first race to the final relay in the afternoon heat, pupils gave their best across a full schedule of track and field events. The day included sprints, challenging middle-distance races, relays, and a variety of field events including the long jump, javelin, discus, high jump, and shot put.
Headmaster Mr Last, commented “It was a truly wonderful Sports Day — a day filled with energy, enthusiasm, and exceptional displays of athletic endeavour. Our pupils demonstrated not only great sporting talent, but also the character that lies at the heart of our school: resilience, determination, and wholehearted participation. We are especially grateful to all the parents, families, and friends who came along to support the day. Your presence and encouragement make all the difference — not only cheering from the side-lines, but also showing our young people that their effort and commitment are valued.”
To conclude the day, as the awards ceremony unfolded and victories were announced, it was clear that both the pupil body and Hillians alike have a strong loyalty to their House. Kingham Hill’s Sports Day 2025 winners are:
