When the new Sports Hall opened back in February of 2020, everyone was excited to use the new climbing wall.
We're excited to announce that during half term break, staff requalified as climbing instructors and under the Covid guidance issued by British Association of Climbing Walls, we're good to go. This coincided with the wall and all equipment undergoing a full service as well as the routes being re-set. Staff were excited to be back on the wall, especially with the addition of an extra Auto-belay, funded by Annual Fund donations. A few more challenging routes have been added, resulting in a challenging initiation for the staff team.
Pupils returned to the wall this week, beginning with the Sixth Form RAF and CCF Cadets. With extra cleaning precautions in place, we now hope to involve more pupils each week.
