Virtual KHS - Our first two weeks

When the government announced on Friday, March 20th that schools were to close indefinitely due to coronavirus, Kingham immediately transitioned to VKHS; Virtual Kingham Hill School.

On Monday morning pupils began their day with registration, followed by (video) Chapel with Mr Seward and continued on with their normal timetable and rhythm of the day.

Our pupils report that it 'feels like school' with 'teachers teaching' and not just independent computer-based learning and a list of tasks.

Lessons are being delivered in a multitude of ways to make sure our pupils feel connected and part of a learning community.

Parents are pleased with VKHS and the level of communication and care shown by KHS staff.  The School is committed to delivering a robust programme which includes co-curricular provision and pastoral support.

At the end of this exhausting two week period, our staff and pupils all look forward to the Easter break with VKHS resuming again on Monday, April 27th.
