Year 7 make a splash on residential

This week saw Year 7 pupils travel to Gaines Manor in Worcester for a three day residential trip where they participated in a number of team building games and tried their hands at new activities.

The residential was arranged to provide the new Year 7 pupils with the opportunity to get to one another better and build new friendships. Upon arrival, following lunch, pupils worked together and practised their team working skills during group games in the sunshine.

Pupils were introduced to ultimate frisbee, where they got to learn new sporting skills. Moving off of dry land, teams were tasked with navigating the Manor's lake during a rafting session before warming up with an evening bonfire.

Putting their creative skills into action, pupils learned about the art of graffiti before spray painting their own efforts in the art building. Pupils spent their second afternoon learning about survival skills as they participated in bushcraft, followed by everyone being on target as they finished their time at Gaines Manor with an archery shoot.
