I have enjoyed school life at Kingham for thirteen years. As well as being proud to be the Clyde Houseparent, I also teach Spanish. I enjoy coaching the junior boys in the major sports of rugby, football and cricket.
Clyde has been the 1st, 2nd and 3rd form boys’ Day House for nine years and has gone from strength to strength. We have won the House Cup on several occasions thanks to the great contributions of every Clyde boy throughout the year with their attitude to learning, achievement and successes in the different aspects of school life.
Clyde is the place to come for all the boys in the morning, at lunchtime and late afternoon to meet friends, socialise, play together and relax. It is also a place to keep their belongings in their locker. House meetings are an important time to come together to start the day, share news, prepare for daily activities and celebrate birthdays before heading off to enjoy the full range of daily activities in and outside the classroom.
The aim for all Clyde boys is that they flourish in all aspects of their school life – in their academic studies, in their sporting life, in their creative and performing arts involvement, in their friendships and in their service of others. Respect and concern for each other are integral features of everyday life.
