Latimer

Latimer is the home base for day girls from 4th Form through to Sixth Form. Located in Middle School at the heart of the school, Latimer is much more than simply a place to keep books and sports kit. It is a welcoming community and a place where girls can build friendships, feel a sense of belonging and develop relationships beyond their own form group.

As a House, our aim is to provide a supportive and caring environment where every girl feels known, valued and able to ask for help when she needs it. We want Latimer to feel like a family within the wider Kingham community: a place where girls look out for one another, celebrate each other’s successes and know that there is always someone to turn to.

We hope that your daughter’s time at Kingham will be happy, rewarding and full of opportunities. Our role in Latimer is to support her not only in making the most of school life, but also in growing in confidence, independence and resilience as she develops into the young person she is becoming.

If at any point your daughter is unsure, worried or simply needs someone to talk to, I would encourage her to speak to me, her Tutor or one of the senior girls. We are here to listen, support and help her find her way. Starting a new school and becoming part of a new community is a big step, and we understand that it can take time to settle in. We were all new once, and no question is ever too small to ask.
