Boarding in the Sixth Form

Many of the Sixth Form relish the opportunity to board: with smaller rooms (often pupils either have their own room or share with one other), more responsibility, opportunities to socialise in the Bar and the flexibility in terms of work and study, Sixth Form boarding is very popular.

Sixth Form pupils in the boarding houses are given clear responsibility for their younger housemates - whether that be waking pupils up, lending a caring ear or leading a roll call, pupils play a vital role.

Sixth Formers also have the chance to practise independent living and equipping themselves with skills needed for beyond school: from washing and ironing their own clothes to having cooking facilities to managing their own time, pupils find that this is an excellent way to prepare themselves for all that is in store after they leave the Hill.
